Are these problems normal for the 5th gen Accords?
I am currently facing these problems on my CD7 Accord.
+ Hard to close in passenger door (you actually have to slam it in order for it to lock).
+ In order for the drivers side door to open, you have to push the door handle then pull up HARD, not like other regular car doors (where you just pull up gently).
+ When I insert the key and start the car, the doors automatically lock. (I guess this one isnt bad at all).
+ When I turn off the ignition, the passenger door automatically open for me.
+ I have to manually lock the driver side door always.
+ Driver side street headlight does not work, but high-beam works perfectly.
I bought it from a previous owner if that matters. Any solution on how to fix these? Or are they just common?

So when you shut off the car the door just pops open?

you have a short and wiring issues.
1.the doors arent suppse to auto lock, unless u have an aftermarket alarm n dont know it.
2.. go to a body shop if you cant do it yourself and have the doors adjusted.
3. you need the latchassembly on the drivers side. they tend to go bad. if your handy take it out oil n clean the connections b4 you replace it. might save some money.

None of the problems you listed are common. The misaligned doors tells me it has previous collision damage. hth

Yeah, sorry for the joke above.. Most alarms will auto lock when you start the car and unlock when you shut it off..
About the drivers door lock, you know you have to hold up the handle when you hit the lock button right?

Yes I remember now. It was on my 85 Accord as well (pull the handle then lock). I never knew it would still be up to this gen. Is this method only made for the Honda Accord?
