Default No luck with Trannys

After replacing the tranny over this summer b/c my roomate somehow blew a few gears through the casing, my new tranny is starting to act up. It grinds when goin into 5th and is difficult to get it to stay in 5th and i cant down shift into 2nd unless the car is going extremely slow. Any ideas on what could be the problem.

possibly your syncros are going out...Mine is doing the same thing, but I've just gotten used to it. While I'm driving and then let off the gas, it'll just pop out of 5th Gear. At first it pissed me off, but after awhile, I just got used to it and just threw it back into 5th

Thats what i thought, that i got a bad tranny from the start. I dunno if it would be worth it for me to buy a new tranny or try and fix the one i have. How big of a job is it to change the syncros?

Doing transmission work isn't as hard as you guys think. Just get a helms.

There is NO need to buy one new from honda, you will have to take out a loan for that lol....just get it rebuilt by gear-speed or any other great trans shop if you can't do it yourself.
