Default STOLEN!!!

Hey Guys,
I don't post here much, I'm really more of a fly on the wall. However, I live in Macon, Ga and had my CD5 stolen last night.

A little background, I've owned the car since around 1996 and since then the car has gone through several states of condition. Currently it was in decent condition for a daily driver but could use an overhaul.

So anyways, I left it at the Macon Mall last night under the Stadium Lighting and it was stolen at some point. Crime here is not terribly high and the car doesn't stand out enough to be a target for theft. It has an acura tape player, a high speed vibration, the engine has 200,000 miles on it and the headlights are jacked up. It was stolen back in 2002 and the steering column was busted so the turn signals are tricky...... Stolen again.

But here she is in her glory days circa 1998

And currently

anywho, it just sucks really,

Probably the same person who stole it the last time. Sounds outrageous but it is highly probable. In any case, sorry to hear it. I suffered the same thing back in 02 with my Civic.

Theives suck!

Let us know if you get her back.

Mine has been stolen too and I know how you feel. I hate people that choose not to work but to steal the stuff others have worked for!

If there wasnt anything worth stealing then maybe they just took it for a joy ride. Like when i was a kid i used to take the old janky camrys for joy rides. Usually thieves dont take the whole car unless you have something worth money and time. But good luck in finding your car.

That reminds me of when one of my friends' car was stolen. It was a bone stock 5th gen Accord. The cops found the car a few days later, wrecked in a ditch. The funny thing was, the thieves had actually put some chrome rims on it...

Anyway... I think my sig pretty much sums up my opinion of thieves.

just because the car didn't have any mods worth anything, that doesn't make it much less of a target. Thieves do steal for stock parts as well. Maybe they wrecked their Accord and needed some stock suspension parts or body parts. Hey, strange things happen all the time.

Shortly after totalling my Accord, I bought a 92 Civic CX. I only had it for 6 weeks. It was all stock, had vx rims, big dent in the passenger door, white painted interior pieces (not me, previous owner). The motor was only a D15, had no power whatsever. And it was stolen and never seen again. Only thing I can figure is they wanted it for a ride or for stock parts, there was no aftermarket anything on that car.

Ever check out how much airbags cost to replace? Yeah, they're not cheap. Airbags, seats, door panels, dash, fenders, hood... all of them are worth some money. Virtually any car is worth stealing.

*UPDATE*

The Macon PD found my car yesterday afternoon..... It was in the hood at a ghetto fabulous chop shop with 30 other cars. Apparently it was moments away from being stripped. Anywho, I've got the Silver Bullet back. They stole my ashtray and my MB quart tweeters and I need a new steering column, other than that the car is fine.

Thanks for your support. I'm going out now to wash it, vaccum it and just generally have a moment of silence.

people i know who who gotten into stealing honda's in the pass, have said that clubs are a joke.

a club will help with a dumb thief. but your best bet is a really good alarm or a killswitch.
