Default Buying a New Transmission Straight from honda

Is it still possible to buy a brand new transmission directly from honda? How much do you think they cost? That would be an m2f4 lsd

It is possible to order a new U2Q7 accord type-r transmission at Honda here in Europe, but the price......... 2500 euro tax included... it is about $3300

I think it depends what year tranny you're looking for. I am pretty sure that law (US & Canada) requires replacement parts to be produced/stocked for 7 years after production is ceased so warranties and recalls can be maintained.

hmmmm well since this tranny has been used on 01s im sure than if that rule ^ is true than i should be good. its for a 93 with an h22a1 so if your right tynically it should fit as long as its not the sh tranny i believe. Im just curious because i really not keen on buying a used one that will break on me in a year.

why do you want a brand new one when you can get a used one and rebuild it...with more goodies.

call honda and ask. though unless your country received a prelude with LSD you will not be able to get one from another market. slhondaparts.com still hsa teh lude tranny lited for around $2000 new. but that is a non lsd base modeltrans.

Even if they did, this option would be a complete waste of money. If you have that much you may as well try and see if you can order a brand new shell along with it. Now THAT would be cool.
