Default Can I swap my final drive on my Y1 trans?

I have a Y1 JDM cable transmission from CRX/CIVIC SiR (EF-8/9) with a Quaife LSD on a GSR bottom end with a PR3 head. The Y1 has a 4.266 FD. The gearing is bad for the highway but I want to drag race it. I was wondering if I could replace the FD with a 4.40 unit and what would be the overall effect.
Here is the current gearing:

1st: 3.166
2nd: 2.052
3rd: 1.416
4th: 1.103
5th: 0.870
FD: 4.266

Thanks

you can swap the final drive but you will need to modify the casing (grind) since the ring gear will be bigger. If you use a type R 4.7 you will also need to use a different differential since the ring gear is larger and will not bolt up to a b16 diff. I dont know if any aftermarket companies make a 4.7 etc... that will bolt up to a y1 differential.

The final drive from a S1/J1 will fit with no mods.
