Default Knocking noise from suspension or drive train...

I have a 90 CRX Si with a b16a, Y1 transmission with LSD, H&R sport spring stock shocks. Whenever I shift or let off the gas then get back on i get this knocking noise from the front end. From what I know which isn't all that much I think it is either the intermediate shaft bearing, throw out bearing, or the shocks. It kind of makes the same noise when I hit bumps. My shocks are definitely blown. But could shocks make that kind of knocking noise when I shift or get on and off the gas? It is only when it is slightly aggressive, I can baby the throttle and clutch and get it not to make the noise.

I had something similar and it was my front motor mount had come loose, I would check your motor mounts...but it could also be something else.

a lot of ppl who have reported and solved this similar issue has consistently been either an engine mount issue (loose bolts) or a cracked subframe.

be sure to check the rear. thats what i remember as most common.

subframe is the part that holds the steering rack.

Yea I will just didnt have time to get under the car to check the bracket bolts. Any specific point on the subframe or just anywhere above and on the sides of the steering rack?
