EM or EK for trackdays?
guys can you share your experience with me? i gotta make a tough choice betweem EM civic coupe and EK civic hatch. The car is gonna be used for trackdays. So I'm wondering which one is better for modifying it for such purposes? Thanks.
modification wise, they will be the same. All the same parts fit on them, aside for some minor differences in the exhaust I think.
the hatch may be slightly lighter, but a DX coupe only like 20 lbs heavier than a DX hatchback, so the difference is minimal.

typically you can get a 88-91 civic/crx si they are cheap, competitive if you decide to move up in class, parts and aftermarkets parts are cheap and easy to get. I personally dislike the EK and espcially the D16y motor not a fan of it.
actually i don't care about the engine anyways it will be swapped, i only care about which chassis is better for racing. The only options are EK or EM.
it doesn't matter then. your driving ability is going to be far more important than the body style of the car you are in. Get whichever one you can find at the best price.
