Default Spoon Wires vs. Any other

Well after reading into the Spoon Plug Wires and seeing they have a small resistance of .04ohms , and since im getting a degree in electronics, i wondered what my (Magnecor) plug wires would ohm out to.
http://robearracing.com/pd_magnecor_10mm.cfm --can be seen here
And the results were really surprising to me. I first mesured the far right plug wire (sry cant member what cynlinder # it is)

I used my Meterman 37XR to do this little test. And just some quick info for some people who may not understand the significance of this. The larger the number of resistane (better know as Ohm's) drop's a larger amount of Voltage. Therefore getting less amount of voltage to the spark plug. So if we had a smaller resistance we would have more voltage going to the spark plug to make a better spark. Im not gonna go into how current is affected, its alot more writing and i know Honda-tech's like to see pictures. So here we go.
Starting at the opposite end from the distrib. cap.

As you can tell the resistance gets smaller as we get smaller in actual lenght of the plug wires. 5.7k Ohms - 3.2k Ohms is WAY larger than .04Ohms. So how much power loss is there actually? There is not telling without an actual dyno between these and the Spoon Wires.
So this is just a post for people to read and maybe help understand a lil more bout their ride. Thanks for readin

interesting, that's a big difference. At my local performance shop they have a display that has all major brand plug wires and measures thier performance. turns out that MSD (the manufacturer of the display, not surprisingly ) had the least resistance of the bunch.

Nice test, however I'd be interested in seeing the results for the Spoon wires using the same equipment. I suspect their resistance figures would be more than the claimed 0.4 ohms. By the way, I couldn't find the resistance numbers on the Spoon site. Where did you locate them?

if i'm not mistaken, the link was for the magnacore wires...I could be wrong though. Good test though

.04 ohms...LMAO. I dont even think that is possible.

All i remember is that if you have over 10k ohms resistance per foot, your wires are shot.

I finally found where i read that information. Although i was off, its .09 not .04

Learn something new everyday, cool test man
I wonder what NGK blues came up as?

Is your device similar to a multi-meter?

Yes it is a mutlimeter. The very top pic you can barely see i can use it to meausre ALOT. Its a $120 meter, and worth every bit

I also feel the same way.

I recently got one myself, but have no idea how to use it. I am slowly learning.

i wonder if the stated resistance for the Spoon wires is for the entire lenth or like per mm or something like that; as you said, total resistance increases with length.

Interesting,

Due to this being one a few threads containing technical
information as well as mature technical discussion./

I'd like to see what the POS autozone wires are. :eyes shift left and right:
Just to see the diffrence

ALSO. If anybody tries to (for some reason) measure the output voltage out of a plug wire in any way.. DO NOT! It can be VERY dangerous and you can get seriously hurt. Ive seen someone get shocked by a MSD system that wasent careful, and it KNOCKED HIS A** on the ground. So safetly first people
