smoke

Default smoke

when i rev my car it is smoking its a civic 90 GL anybody know the reason?>

probably rings. Mine uses 1 quart of oil per week, but I only see smoke if I rev above 4K.

My rings are shot! New engine 7/1/02!

Check to see if you have oil in the water..if so it could be a gasket failure

Like they said it is either your rings, valve seal are possible the head gasket. What color is the smoke? That will be your best indicator.

Bluish = Oil (rings or seals)
White = Water (head gasket)
Black = Gas (car is running rich)

first things first, check the compression. If comp. is low you need to tear apart the block and see if its your rings, if it is consider yourself lucky.
