Default My $15 paint job

2 hours of prep work taping the car up after about a day or so of getting rid of MOST door dings and mystery dents on the hood this is the end result.

I used a cheapo spray gun that came with my air compressor to spray about half a gallon of Rustoleum Heavy duty "Safety Red" paint.
I didn't thin it out to try something a bit different. The thicker paint gave me kind of a textured/alomost hammered look in the finish. I like it. I'll have to get some macro shots of how the finish looks tomorrow. Looks awesome, but then I'm just abit biased here.

And yes, that's a big *** dent on the passenger side quarter panel. This is my beater car and I don't care.

looks better than before!!

but try this to make it look better..

wet sand with 600 grit first.. u can start a lil lesser like matbe 400 or something.. then wetsand with 800,1000,1500,2000 and ur car will shine like no other.. then if u want it to look better give it a couple coats of clear.. it should cost another 20 bucks but it would look awsome!

just try it and tell me how it turns out... lol i want to see the outcome!

good luck and u cant go wrong with a 15 buck paint job... its definatly better than beffore

Well, I had to buy a compressor, so that's not included in the price. But I've been wanting to get one for various car related things for a while now, so I didn't count that.
Masking tape came out to about $5 or so for a big roll of the blue stuff. So I guess it's maybe a $20 paint job.
The paint is still kind of soft. Gonna let it dry for about a week or so before I attempt to sand it smooth. But like I said, I really like the textured feel and look of the paint. I may just leave it that way.
