i haven't heard much about the h22 swap wiring or obd crap with the h22. i know there are different h22's because there are several different power ratings for them. is there a preferable year(s) i would need to look for? because if not i'd like to try to get a '97+ as it's got a higher power rating. anybody know? TIA.

 

doest matter. h22 are the same power rating besides the type s. its depends on wut u want and wut u dropin it in 0bd1 or 2

 

usdm h22 i believe years 92-96? were h22a1 correct me if i'm wrong at the years. newer ludes had the h22a4 and jdm h22's had the h22a. usdm model other than the type s were rated from honda for 190 hp to the crank, jdm h22's were rated at 200hp and slightly more tq. the h22a4 were open deck blocks while the h22a1 and h22a's were closed deck. so no they are not all the same. It would be easier to find a obd1 h22 unless your up for some wiring work or you can get a h22a4 for a good penney.
