window off track? 2000 em1
sup guys
my driver side window is messed up
i slammed the door while the window was rolled down a while back ..
now when i try to roll the window up, it moves up and forward too
additionally, its rolling up on the outside of the rubber track, which is ripping up the rubber pretty bad
is this something i could fix myself ? the motor seems fine ..
i plan on taking apart the inside door panel today or tomorrow ..
do i have to remove any other panels ? and if it is off track, do i have to buy new parts ?
or is it something i could just set back on track ?

it could be a few things, you will need to pull the door panel to check. i had the same problem, but i was lucky, and i was able to glue a window that broke on me last week. you may need a regulator though. tough to tell unless you pull it apart.
if it just got off track, how would i go about putting it back on track ?
is it a simple process ?
i'd like to know before i actually take the door panel off
so that i would know what to do when i fix it
btw, thanks for all the helpful info

Its super simple you just take the door panel off and I had to take out my speaker and behind the speaker where the track is there a bolt loosen it and put the window back in between the track to where its suppose to be. Hope this helps.

did it too, it worked until it got cold...then it popped out of the from rail again..it's too flexible and moves when the window goes down.. and yes it was a bulliten and they did fix if for free after some persist complaint but that was one year after it was bought new...I saw the TSB online right after that..
