Default are obd 2 converted to obd1 with p28 crome reliable?

sorry if this has been covered allready but I couldnt find it. I might be looking at this EK with a D16Y8 swap. Its got stock internals with a Z6 tranny. Converted to obd1 I assume since its running a p28 with crome. its also turbo charged running 7psi.

question is...how reliable is this kinda setup and what are the pros and cons of it? what is crome neways? Im a noob when it comes to harnesse conversions and turbos and ecu terminalogy.....thanks alot

Just because it's running Crome doesn't mean it's boosted. When I ran my old SOHC VTEC motor in my obd1 hatch I chipped my po6 ecu and ran Crome using the stock p28 map. So basically I had a p28.

It'll be just as reliable as a stock y8 ecu. If you cut jumper J1 you can run the stock P28 map which should be similar enough to the stock y8 map.

d16y8's don't really like d16z6 timing maps. I know there is some people on H-T that have .bins for Crome that are for the y8's.
