There's a lot of research you need to do. But to make it simple, he'll need:

1. Trailing arm with brakes
2. Ebrake cables
3. Brake lines

Search: Rear disc (disk) conversion

It's a simple bolt off and bolt on affair. Really straightfoward with a ratchet sockets.

you'll also want a 40/40 proportioning valve and the master cylinder from the Si as well..

150-300 depending on location, time, completeness, and condition.

99-00 Si prop valve is the same for 96-00 hatchbacks; the 99-00 Si has disc brakes.
You dont really need a bigger m/c; the fluid volume is about the same between a drum wheel cylinder and the rear disc calipers. It's when you also upgrade your front brakes you want a bigger m/c.

Actually everything except the EX has the same prop valve, not just the hatchbacks.

its spelled "brake"
be sure the bolts arent torqued too much, during installation of the rear toe arm...you can really screw up your life doing that

its a 962 compared to the other's 902...where'd you get your # from? SR3 sounds like the older civics.

Well in your sig it says 95 Civic EX. These part numbers are for 96-00 civics.

Every 6th gen civic that came with the small rotors up from and the drums in the rear uses the same prop valve as with the big rotors up from and discs in the rear.
