Default help! radiator fan turns on/off when car isnt running

stock 90 integra ls sedan

its my gf's car, she just bought it a couple months ago. the problem is when the car is off, sometimes the radiator fan would turn on and off and it would keep doing it until the battery dies. anyclue to what can be causing the fan to run when the car is off?

wouldn't the fan not be running at all w/ a bad fan switch?

it could be a bad sw, relay, wire. u have to get the wiring diagram and check the whole fan circuit. Or try unplugging the fan sw ( the one that's in the thermostat housing ) when it starts acting up! good luck!!

Bad being it's fritzy, just unhook the fans until you figure out the exact problem,
you need to be in Hot heat to actually need them.

I have a 93 Integra with the same problem.
The fan keeps running after the engine is turned off. (I can't remember if I took out the key or not).
I already changed the fan switch with a new one and it still does it. Not all the time though which is the weird thing.

Now here's my question.
Is the radiator fan circuit connected to a + source that only comes on when the ignition is turned on ? If so, how can the fan even be running if the car is turned off ?

If I short the circuit across the fan relay while the car is turned off, will the fan start to run ?
