Help, cant get headlights off.

Default Painted Headlights Black *Pics*

Edit: Here are some at night will get some day time pics tmw.











All Comments are welcome, sry about the bad pics.


Ok I took the corner lights off that are beside the headlight, and then took off 4 bolts and couldnt get the things off. Heres a pic of the bolt place I took off.

this isnt my car im just borrowing the pic. hope the owner doesnt mind.

5th gens the bumper has to come off to remove the headlights

remove the small lights in the bumper and then look in that hole to find the bolts holding the bracket that mounts the bumper; also screws on the sides in the fender well area.

there's a screw on the side of the headlight near the corner light and one below it

Yah it sucks that you have to remove the headlight, but thats what you gotta do. Have fun, are you putting in black housing ones?

be prepared to have to break the 3 clips underneath the headlights. it was the only possible way for me.

but then again i have a CL, and the bumper set-up MIGHT be different. its clearly visualy different, but might be built the same way.

DIY, nice thats what i had to do. my only option.

but black housing headlights are availble for 5th gen Accords, correct?

Yea for about 200, so im taking the cheap way out, but they'll look just as good as the real ones, I hope lol. will post pics after I get it done.

take out your bumper signals and each bumper signal there is a bolt behind it. take those off and you will take off your bumper to get another screw off for the head light.

Man I got the lights off and took the lens off with a heat gun got everything painted and put back together. Then went to put them on the accord, but I cant get them to be flush with the hood and it got dark and cold so I called it a day. Im gonna fix it and when it looks right and its daytime ill have pics up.
