I have a 96 cx hatch with a b16 turbo. The car was fine all summer until last weekend when it didn't want to start. I checked it over and I got no spark. I already tried to change the coil five times, changed the icm three times with different coils and icm's and still no spark. Checked for voltage on coil, icm, harness going to the distributer, there is voltage to all of them and still nothing. I even tried a new cap and rotor button. I know that the three sensors in the distributer can't be bought but I have another distributer from a 91 accord that I could wire up but I don't want to hack into the harness unless I really have to. I tried everything the helms manual suggests. I'm out of options. Is there anything else that i could try before i go and buy a new distributer.

 

the distributer is from a 96 jdm b16 obd2 but i'm running obd1 ecu po6 chipped.

 

have you checked fuses? had the same problem awhile back. cant remember how the fuse box is setup in the engine compartment of an ek but in my 5th gen the fuse that gave me problems was a 15amp fuse in the left rear corner of the box.... check you fuses. good luck

 

yes i checked that. I thought that fuse is for fuel injection and or fuel pump. I think it might be my crank position sensor. Thanx for the info though.
