NGK Iridiums and gas mileage
I searched but found no definite answer. About a month ago, I replace my plugs, wires, cap and rotor. I got it all from a sponsor on HT. The cap and rotor were OEM, and the wires were NGK blues. The plugs were iridium. Has anyone who has done this noticed a drop in gas mileage?

another victim of the good advertisement.
it happens all the time and alot of people end up going back ngk copper after a whille. performance increase, i bet you can't feel anything.
yes they do last longer but i could check my copper plugs three time and it's still cheaper than your set.
my advice is stick to what works best, NGK/Denso copper

yeah, before, I had NGK platinums. I guess I will have to get some more. I only got them because they were cheaper than the platinums, but still as durable
I used the Denso iridium plugs before because I got them for dirt cheap. I pulled them right back out 3 months later b/c my gas mileage dropped 2-3 mpg. Installed some new NGK copper plugs, and I immediately got my gas mileage back.
Been running Bosch plats for a long, long time. I know some say they cause a rough idle, but never had that problem, and the plats stay clean for a long time.
This winter or spring I will be going through the block/head of my 1994 (F22B). Will be doing some mid-range internal upgrades (JE pistons to bring comp. to about 9.5-10/1/ headers/ light cam/ porting), not all out screaming performance, somewhere in the 25-35 HP+ range. I am still looking at possible ignition upgrades.
Lots of opinions back/forth RE whether ignition upgrades help for "mid-road" engine performance upgrades. I was wondering what you guys thought of the Nology wire sets, control module, and Nology's claim for the SILVER tipped plugs.
I read some positive write-ups per (road and Track??), can't remember exactly where, stating the systems DID boost engine performance, other statements the boost in performance was a good return for the $$$ spent.
Input appreciated RE the Nology line. I am an old MSD user, but MSD has forever been mostly a big-block equipment company, just recently going inot the import market.
They make damned good stuff, but the engine module for my engine did not have an upgraded cap/rotor kit (at this time), and the wiring involved some cut/splice instead of plug/play. Wrenchy

there's hardly any performance advantage.
platinum just last longer than copper plugs, i run copper on my accord and platnium on my S, not that i do that for a gain,it just they don't make a copper for the S.
