you know it is a jdm head if:

1. the oil squirters have a rough casting. the usdm ones are smooth and almost billet looking.
2. the year marking on the front is a year that the b16 wasnt offered in the us.

but, it doesnt matter. a vtec head is a vted head for all intensive purposes. just find an obd1 distributor and make sure everythign else is there.

he's right, jdm or not it doesnt matter. I'd be more interested in knowing the condition of the head itself, and all the parts. Has it been milled, are the cam journals grooved or worn from oil starvation, are the lost motion assemblys limp and dead, are the rockers scratched or worn excessively.....is what you should be asking yourself.

dude, i was just about to start that rumor. that is good.

out here in the military, you start a good rumor and start your watch timer at the same time. then you see how long it takes for someone to come running up to you and tell you your own rumor.

best example and my victory with a time of 28 minutes while in iraq "hey did you hear we are staying here an extra month to take over nassiriya?"

28 minutes later...."hey man! i just heard we are staying an extra THREE months to completely destroy nassiriya!!!"
