Okay, I am planning taking apart my B16A head to put in a USDM B16A2 head. I am planning on turning my whole motor back to USDM for emission purpose.
What kind of tools do I need to remove the head. Also, how long does it usually take? Anyone have a WRITE UP on removing DOHC VTEC head? I have some mechanical exp, but not alot. I know how to remove tranny and replace clutch, flywheels, and such.
thanks in ADVANCE!

you dont need to swap heads to make it pass emissions
as far as removing the head you must drain coolant, disconnect coolant lines connecting head to block, remove the valve cover, slide Tbelt off of cam gears, remove the bolts for the cam caps in the correct sequence...remove the cams and caps carefully, remove the headbolts in the correct sequence...after this the head should come right off....if it does not come off give it a couple taps with a rubber mallet

Actually, I do need to because mine came off a 1989 Xsi. My car is an EM1.
