I'm sure a box wrench, two washers, and some JBweld is cheaper.

But, it still looks like a box wrench, washers and JBweld. I guess if you're into ghetto fab, it works for you. You forgot duct tape though. LOL

I'm not ghetto ... I just wouldn't spend money on a battery tie down. My car came with one.

Yeah, so did mine, but I put this one on since it LOOKS better. This is the cosmetic/appearance forum, right? Besides, over time, the factory one gets rusty and corroded due to the battery acid..This would be a great replacement if the stock one is ugly and rusty.

Whatever floats your boat. I've seen nicer, and I've seen far uglier. I just prefer the stock one.

Will this thing add 5 HP? It's made in the USA, not even JDM.

OEM wheels do just fine too, but I bet you have aftermarket wheels on your car. Are they a waste of money?

unsprung wieght and better size options are good reasons for buying wheels. I cant think of one for buying a battery tie down. well, unless you lose your factory one which I cant imagine happening

I agree it looks better. but if you want your engine bay to look better relocate your battery to the trunk. at least that serves some purpose, as minimal as it is

My point is that this is the Appearance / Cosmetic forum, not a "will this increase hp" or "make me faster"... this forum is about looks. Its not for everyone, I agree. The pic installed is on my S2000. It looks good to me, maybe not to you.

BTW, they are on eBay for about $32, cheaper than the skunk2 and other versions.
