Default exhaust ? regarding 92' H23 to JDM H22 swap

I've searched already,

I finished the last of a swap in my brothers 92' si, got the longblock motor from Hmotors, it came with just the exhaust manifold(upper half).

So I need to know how I can make the exhaust work until he buys a real H22 header and cat.

Please help, this is the only thing keeping it from driving

really?

I've heard on another board that if you drilled the 3 holes to fit the h22 mani that you could us the H23 DP

but i've also read that its either too long or short and that you have to extend it...

just get a different flange for the header-->cat connection. You'd have to be a complete idiot to buy and entire new exhaust just because one flange didn't fit. Take it to your local muffler shop and they'll do it for cheap.

let me know how much your local shops are going to charge you for putting a new collector on the downpipe. I just skipped all that and got pos ebay headers for the time being until good ol' tax return.

Just get a custom exhaust piping made for you application. Its the best way to go. buy magnaflow 2.5" cat and a muffler of your choice with at 2.5" inlet and you will bet set

i dont see why the downpipe for the h23 is any different from the down pipe on the h22. i know the manifolds are different, but try using ur downpipe from h23. if that doesnt work, then i have an odd ball, cuz thats what i did!

the h22a downpipe has a different collector then the h23. itsa bigger.

the h23 downpipe doesnt bolt up to the h22a mani.

so with those 2 statements you cannot use your h23 downpipe. the flanges at the cat will line up but it wont match at the mani.

this is without rigging anything to work. maybe you can modify/drill new holes and it could work , but i am referring to as is.

you used the H22 manifold and the H23 and it bolted right in to both the mani and cat with no modification?
