alright, my Si is bone stock right? i was talking to my dealer and asked around if i put in any aftermarket mods/adds to the car the 40k warranty is shattered. and any damage to the car is coming outta my pocket. i have been working my butt off at work this last couple of months and extra $ is coming my way right before chritmas right? is your guy's dealer the same? my brain is telling me to wait for the 40k mark on my car before anying adds to the car. my heart is telling me to do what i want to it. anyone got any info that could push me over the cliff about this? this is killing me! and winter is coming up and i live in PA and snow is coming up! $$$ ----> GF or $$$---> Si

 

the warranty is only broken depending on the mod. if u put an intake on and ur windows stop working, then ur warranty is still valid. but if u put a cold air intake on and u suck water up and kill ur block ur warranty doesnt cover it.

use the search feature because it will help u. start with simplye things that will help u. either go with CAI, Exhaust (skunk2), or header (DC or Comptech). go with a carbon fiber hood as well because it wont touch ur warranty. figure out what u wanna do and go from there.

 

Women come and go, but your Si will always be there for you. My cash always go towards the Si. As far as the dealer, don't worry about it. They have to prove that the part you put on caused whatever broke to break. Search around and you can find many topics on this.

if i would do stuff(s) to my car. i would want to make it look agressive not 20 feet wing agressive. Style ya know. TYPE X's FG2 is the hottest i've seen so far. but he also owns alot of comptech and mods to it. i like the HFP body kit front and rear. but the sides i can not tell a difference through internet pictures. i plan on tinting windows thats pretty much it so far. CAI with the risk of locking up with this hydrolock im reading about. i dont think i can handle constantly. i've been looking at other aftermarket body kits---- non are really attractive. we'll we will what i do err i mean santa will bring me :D

i've modded cars before..the Si seem already completed in my standard..prolly only gonna add suspension and rims and call it a day.

Yeah I'd have to wonder the same thing, if shes still fresh (under a year) the car comes first.

As for modding it, the warranty is only voided on parts that are directly damaged by the part you installed. Like someone said above CAI-Hydrolock, not covered. CAI - transmission fails covered. Theres not really much you can do that will void the bumper to bumper warranty, its the powertrain one that usually gets the axe.

 

lol well type X i have been with my "GF" for about 8 months... butttttttt i live in pa and just read some info that 35% is the lowest you can get tint wise. is it really that hard to see at night at that percent? i think im gonna just gonna do lil things for now.
