Re: CAR Shaking at 110mph....
i just put on some new rims today on my fifth gen...rims are 16x7 and tire size is 205-50-16...when i go up to 110 it shakes alot..can it be my lugnuts or balance...tires were done from american tires...or can it be something with the rotors or somethin?
true...everyones gone fast...well...i was just testing the rims and tires out to see when they would give out..like if my tires were balanced...but alot of shaking occured...my alignment isnt that off i think....can that be possible.

The shaking was your guardian angel telling you to slow the hell down.

I hear Darwin calling my phone. Maybe your car is shaking at 110 cuz your going too fast? If your going to do 110, make sure the car isnt shaking so you don't get hurt

Have you checked tire pressure? My left front tire loses air slowly and I have to put air in it every week. When Im missing like 10-15 psi, my steering will shake a little. As soon as I fill it up, its perfect, no more shaking and it handles a lot better. My brother in law wanted me to show him what a lude can do as he has never been in one before. I left go of the gas at 139 mph and it handled perfectly with the proper psi. I had never gone that fast before, so I was suprised...
And you guys thinking I will make your insurance go up, don't worry, I live in Canada
and I will probably will never go that fast again. He was scared

I think what we are witnessing here is a rare and beautiful act of nature know as the "Darwinian Countdown". Another self-cleansing ritual of mother nature to effectively skim the bugs off the surface of the gene pool. Truly a wonder to behold...

i love it when ppl take the **** out off someone because they admitted to driving fast, makes me laugh at how the responses are always the same. then just wait a couple of weeks and the same person starts a thread saying "look at my my 200whp H22" as if we're supposed to believe he never speeds, or i could be wrong and this entire forum could be a waste of time
Nobody ever said we didn't drive fast every now and again. However, if my front end was making weird noises, I wouldn't test my new rims/tires at 110+ mph to "see when they would give out". That just doesn't sound like rational thinking to me....

Anyone think that he doesn't have hubrings?
CV shafts usually don't present with a wobble at only 110+ mph. In my experience, you can tell from 30mph.

on a stiff suspension with not high speed rated tires it gets kind of scary

He should have gone up to 120mph to see if it subsides.
