My car is Fawked, anyone help?
Ok here is what's up:
1. I posted a couple of days ago of how my engine sounds like the hottest 1-4 turbo diesel around, couldn't figure out why? Thought it was due to oil change needed etc.. it was https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=180991 here it is if you want to read it.
2. I noticed I have no power in 1st or 2nd gear, 3rd and 4th and 5th are fine for power. ie. merging on to a highway, i have to use second (not saying I ever use first gear) to merge on the highway for one exist i take regularly.
3. My buddy WRXRacer111(fellow HT member) got home from schol (from U of Miami) today, he is my resident tech. I asked him about the noise he could not pin point it. first problem
4. So we take it for spin.
5. I also mention to him that I have no power in first and second gear, he was like what?????second problem
6. I show him, he was dumbfounded even after he drove the car and he is a far superior driver than me...there was no AC on at the time no, fans other than the ones need for the enging running. Nothing excessive was in the car etc...
There was a def. lack of power in first and second. We could only thing that it was a cylinder timing was off, or an injector was not working, or the fuel system was not really working properly. For this reason...I acidently put 89octane in now i am back at 93octane.
However The ECU should compensate for this right?? This is what I was told/know.
7. ONe top of all this my syncros are probably fawked in my tranny, hard as shyt to get into first and second from start and down shifting.
So my car = fawked IMHO
my car = 00 GS-r and yes I know about the warrenty I am going to take it in...just thought i would get some opinions TIA

try removing one plug wire at a time while the engine idles, one by one (replace each one before going to the next). each time the idle should get real rough or the RPM drop perhaps. If at any point you pull a plug wire and there is no change in idle, then that cylinder is dead, not getting any spark to ignite the fuel/air. It could be the plug, maybe the plug wire, maybe the dist. cap. I suppose perhaps if one cylinder is dead that the injector for that cylinder may not be working properly, but I'm not sure. HTH any.

I have seen this when the cam timing is so far off that compression goes way off causing the engine to ping all the time (sounds like a diesel). Its a possibility, just my .02. Can you say Warranty
Hey AcuraRacer112;
How many miles are on the teg?
Also, this is kind of off-topic, but why did you sell your 1000 hp pro street camaro?
