Add 2 step colder plugs, retard the timing 2-4 degrees, and run a 65 shot. Monitor your ignition, EGT, and fuel pressure. If it all checks out, bump it up to a 75 shot. I wouldn't go past that with 12.5:1 comp. You should use the highest octane you can tune with on that setup.

i have eagle rods and weisco forged nitrous pistons in my bottom end. my compression is around 10:8:1 maybe a little higher. the pistons are 81.5mm bore. what shot/how much hp are sleeves bored that much good for?

Look at my previous post.. do the same thing. You could probably bump it up to 100 though. I never really recommend bumping past 100 unless you build for nitrous.

stupid question i know... but isnt a sleeved motor already mostly built for nitrous, does the high compression affect the motor as a turbo or supercharger would??? id love to try somthing new but i do not want to throw thousands of dollars away because i got power happy

if you do decide to use nitrous with your high compression i would def use a direct port kit, or at least a wet shot. If I were you i would stay away from the dry kit. With the wet kit you will have less chance of detonation

depends what gas you are using. my 2 litre was around 14 to 1 compression and i was spraying over a 200 on it. this was on c16 gas though.

i personally would not feel safe running a 100 shot with that much compression (no matter what kind of nitrous kit: wet, dry, direct port). That is, i would not feel safe with pump gas, race gas i would say yes you would be safe; if this is your DD then im gonna have to say stay away from the nitrous with your current high compression ratio.

The day before yasterday, I tried two stage on my bone stock B20/vtec.
first stage (150 shot) and the second stage (50 shot) but the clutch fucked up on me , its 4 pad mipa clutch and with the sec stage convert to to 1 pad .

I am tuned with BRE (obd0 rom editor) and i am using torco 110.

good gas and high cr + a big shot = power

look at all the 6 second v8 cars na+juice

i was very considering building an all nitrous car!

well what exactly does nitrous do?????? it helps to carry more air into each cylinder which causes more chance of detonation UNLESS you also add extra fuel. In the end if you have an EXCELLENT TUNE and use RACE GAS you should be okay. like i said before, i would not do this to my daily driver.

i definitly without a doubt do not want this to be a daily driver. However id like it to see pavement in good weather. If i cut back maybe 50-75 shot am i significantly safer. the last thing i want to do is get greedy and loose a brand new fully built GSR

if this were my fully built GSR motor i would first lower the compression to about 11.8. Then I would feel a lot safer about running a bigger shot of nitrous. Of course the reliablity still comes down to race gas and TUNE.

however, since this is not your daily driver, i'd say keep the 12.5 cr, start with a small shot of nitrous (35 shot) and tune it all on race gas
