Default Hail Damage

Well, after tonight you may be seeing some pics of my car with hail damage! woo....

Anyone had to deal with this before? As far as insurance goes? How do the cars look when you get them back. The hail is supposed to be large, hopefully not bad enough to break glass though. I'm scared.

EDIT: oh yeah, forgot to mention i will be at work with no covered area... so not much i can do about it.

cardboard on the glass, if you can manage that. the windshield is very expensive. if you do get hail damage talk to the b-shop manager and see if he is willing to get aftermarket carbon fiber hood or deck lid.

I feel a sick day coming on. Luckily, my job closes down very easily when the slightest storm of this magnitude is coming. When bridges and overpasses are covered, they simply shut down operations. Want to come work with me? I will not be going in if it ices over or hails. Tires slide enough when the ground is wet.

From what I know, my full coverage insurance would cover it.

kind of depends on your insurance provider but most companies will cover hail damage. had our first serious snow storm this year and i have no choice but to drive the Si cinders and snow melt chemicals FTL big time changed out the works and thinking of putting the OE suspension back on til spring... sucks the AERO kits arent easy to take on/off

SoCal and snow? If your not near Bear Valley, then you must be smoking something. I live in NoCal (colder than SoCal), and I have only seen snow once in the 47 years I have lived here.

ummm, how about dont be retarded and leave your car outside? Jesus, if you know this might happen do whatever it takes to avoid it, park in a parking garage or something, i dont know. If your worried about losing $14 per hour to leave early or whatever then i think you need a new career, you can make that much at Home Depot.

I'm really not trying to be an ***, but whoever would intentionally leave their car outside knowing a hailstorm is going to happen doesnt seem that smart to me...

Home depot only pays 10/hr here.

Skipping work to save your car isnt the best idea, cuz you know... work does pay for the car itself.

edit: oh yeah i think i managed to avoid serious hail, though there is a thick layer of ice and snow on my car. I will be garaging it at home after next week i believe (complicated situation at home, lots of junk in garage temporarily)

Very Nice. Awesome country there. Your lucky. I hate living in the smog heavy, over crowded Silicon Valley, but I guess LA is worse.
