Default Turbo GSR time slip

What do you guys think about my time slip.? The car is a 94 civic coupe. The motor (JDM B18C) is sleeved with:

JE 9:1 pistons
eagle H beam rods
ARP head studs and main studs
Cometic head gasket
balanced knife edged crank
Acl bearings
Stock head with JG edlelbrock victor X manifold and BBK 70mm TB.

The TURBO setup is a REVHARD kit with a Precision sc61 turbo and 650cc injectors. Tuned with AEM EMS by DRT. The car put down 367whp at 17psi.

Passes made on 205/50/15 BFG drag radials. Lemme know what you think.

Best time (3rd pass) at 16 psi:
R/T----- .190
60'------- 2.123 (I know it sucks)
330------ 5.669
1/8------ 8.384
MPH---- 93.51
1000---- 10.702
1/4------ 12.665
MPH---- 112.00

The first pass was at 12 psi
R/T----- .707
60'------ 2.369
1/4------ 13.701
MPH----- 109.63

The second pass was at 12 psi.
R/T----.095 (thumb up)
60'----- 2.266
1/4----- 13.199
MPH---- 111.64

trap speeds seem low for the power did you let off or what?

93mph in the eighth show you should be trapping higher

Thank you for noticing that...I thought that I should be trapping higher when I saw the 93mph 1/8. On that 12.6 pass the car felt like it was breaking up towards the end of the track/4th gear. I changed the plugs the day after and it felt totally different.

The exhaust setup is a custom 3" downpipe to a 3" flex pipe and 3"mandrel bent piping all the way back to a Apex'i N1 turbo muffler.

If you made a clean pass I would expect 120+mph trap speeds

With a clean pass and trapping 120+mph what would the ¼ mile time be? Thanks for the info. Oh, I didn't get to make a cleann pass after I changed the plugs because the track is closed. When it reopens hopefully I can make a clean pass.

should get you low to mid 11's. Get some slicks that would be the best thing to get those numbers down.

Mid 11's would be sweet. I will be buying slicks in the future.

+1.

That 60' is horrendous. haha. getting those to a 1.6-.8 is deff putting you into the 11's.

yea... track numbers are really bad...

320whp in my car gave me 12.0 @ 118mph...

trap speeds are really low..

yea something is wrong there...hell 300whp cars go 115...but yea your setup is capable of 120+ traps and mid to low 11's as said above...370who should get your right there.

I know the 60' are garbage and it did feel like the car was breaking up in 4th/the end of the track. I am having major traction issues. Oh and i was using the AEM 2step set at 5500RPM. Hope fully slicks will help. What size do u guys reccommend for my set up? Thanks again for the information.

when you say it felt like it was breaking up.....spark blowout is VERY noticable...so it was, or it wasnt blowing the spark out?

that would explain your lower trap speed, 93 in the 1/8th is good for 118 traps or so...still doesnt seem right for a coupe with 370whp...have you done a boost leak test at all?

Yes, it was very noticeable. I would have ran the car again but I didn't feel comfortable making another pass with it feeling like that. When I pulled the plugs they were all black like they weren't firing properly. Also the coupe is full interior with stock struts and tein s-tech springs. I think suspension work will help lower the time too. I can't wait for the track to reopen so I can get more seatime. I appreciate your input.

well you also have to take into consideration the weight of the car... some cars trapping at 115 making 300whp are probably weighing somewhere around 2000lbs, where as he has a full weight coupe probably somewhere around 2400-2500lbs.

He also doesnt have the best manifold to make high numbers, i'll bet if he changed out the manifold to an equal length he'd pick up around 35-40whp.

and if he was breaking up or blowing out the spark that would explain the power loss at the end of the track leading to such a slow trap speed.

a guy here in town, dyno'd 303 and went 12.0@115 with a coupe with just the pass seat removed, top of back off. thats why i say that!

but more seat time and makeing sure everything is 100% will get you the times for sure!!!! get some slicks too, easier to drive and makes you more conistant and makes getting the best time possible a whole lot easier good luck next time!!!

Thanks for all the info fellas
Hopefully by the time the track reopens I'll have slicks and an equal length manifold. I'll post up those times too
