Basically my car smells like cat ****.. really bad, been about 3-4 weeks now. Still there, Had the car professionally detailed/shampooed, washed several times, washed underneeth the body, and no luck.

Any idea's what to do? Im starting to think the cat was up on the roof and pissed in the sunroof area and its in somewhere i havent cleaned yet? Damn it stinks.

i think i know where it's coming from. My mom's car had this problem. The cat pissed on the windshield outside vents. the area where your Heating/AC system gets its outside air. Turn on your heater and you'll see exactly what i'm talking about.

im not patient enough to read everyones response, but possibly if a cat pissed in the intake vent for your heat and stuff, (the cowl under the wiperblades), that is hard to cure, also a good way to sabotage someones car, if you get access, drop a dozen frozen shrimp in there, wait a week and see how the car smells. seriousely tho, i used to detail for a few years, and the best thing to get scent out of a car is an ozoneator, or ozone machine. it will smell like chlorine for probly 2 days, but after that, freshness will come.

 

i remember there was a thread once of using vinegar in a cup and just leaving it overnight inside the car with the windows slightly cracked. they guy said it worked on any odor in the car. maybe give that a shot?

 

dont u think the car would just smell like vinegar after that? i guess you could take a **** on the passenger seat.. my friend said he couldnt smell anything else in his car when that happened either.
