Suspension Setup
Can somone tell me a good suspension setup for my 00 civic. I prefer a setup that is as smooth as possible. This setup if basically for daily driving and once in a while speeding in the highway. My budget is around $500
eibach prokit springs and any reputable affordable shock...
For a bit more money you could spend more on adjustable shocks so you can make them nice and soft...
I have a GC/Koni setup and am VERY happy with it.

No intent of thread jacking but it will probibly be good knowledge for you too if you decide to go with them (and this will help me decide also.)
how many of these "Notes" at the bottom are necessary?
and that price is for a set right?

I went with KSport Kontrol Pros. Will install this weekend. They looked like the best bang for the buck. No big complaints from fellow H-T members.

they are sleeved coilovers. frankly though ive seen more positive reviews of the gc/koni combo... don't buy into the whole matched coilover hype. the ability to mix and match spring rates and shock combos is far better then having some bling name painted on your suspension.

go with a soft setup if you're trying to build a dd/highway speeder. Try some lowering springs and a set of good tires(v rated or higher). The tires will make a world of difference at high speeds.
if you want soft and lowered, *prepares flame suit* cut the springs. and get a good set of shocks. like koni yellows, they can be had for under $500
im not even joking. my sister has a bone stock 97 coupe with cut springs. looks dope as hell and rides nice n soft. i'm rockin cut stock springs for the winter.

Cut springs actually increase the spring rate and decrease the amount of spring travel. you don't want to do that, especially with konis. You'll bottom out the konis and send a set of 500$ shocks to the gutter. buy lowering springs and get good tires. Tires are the heart of high speeds, without grip, you'll lose traction.

I've got these too. To be quite honest I don't notice too much of a difference between the K-Sports and my KYB-AGX/Skunk2 combo. They have more adjustability and the design is better, but you could save $200 or so, if you would run a combo like the KYBs. I still have mine if anyone is interested. I actually thought my strut was blown but it was a bad UCA camber part that was making a popping noise.
