i'm from israel and engine stands here cost about 200-300$, and buying one from the states is out of the question because shipping.
sooooo..... i decided ill build one and thats it.
what you think about this thing?

Looks like most engine stand designs. Looks like you left off the part that bolts to the engine and has the spindle that goes into the cylindrical part... But I'm sure you figured that out.
The hard part is going to be able to get two pipes that fit together snugly but not tightly. Unless you have a honing rig?
Personally, though, I prefer the engine stand type that attaches to the engine and tranny mounts so that the clutch and tranny can be assembled before putting the engine in the bay. But that's just me.

Only change I'd suggest are provisions for a drip pan. I really hate honing, grinding, cleaning, etc my motors with just heavy plasic under the stand to catch the crap. If its for a honda cast aluminum block, you could get away with almost any dimentions - I'd taken craps that weigh more than my bare d16 block.
As for the threads on a Honda block, they are M12x1.25. They are hard to find (had to order them), but I'd assume Israel is mostly metric unlike USA. 80mm length works best on my stand, but you could get away with OEM's if you make the mounting tubes short enough (my stand is meant for iron block v8's).
Beepy, any pictures of your stand? I can't think how you'd mount a honda engine and tranny seperately on one stand, assuming thats how you do it.
