Default For taller drivers: Rear view mirror at eye level blocking view?

Does anyone else have the issue with the rear view mirror being directly at eye level and thus blocking quite a bit of your view? Has anyone used a different mirror than the stock mirror? I know there is only about 2 or so inches between the top of the mirror and the headliner but anything amount i could raise it would help. Any suggestions besides brute force bending of the arm of the mirror to riase it up some?

Do you drive like a stunna? (ie. leaned over towards the middle of the car)

I have no issues.

I'm also 6'1" and in a straight up seating position. No issues.

Oh, and the wing doesn't really block my rear view, either... I just look over and under it.

he said rear view blocking his view, I would imagine it is the one attached to the windshield, I wouldn't really see the sides getting in his way...

Don't tell me you upgraded your rear view mirror with those huge rectangular convex ones found at a local rice shop.

I go out of my way to avoid cars equipped with those upgraded mirrors.

Damn mirror drivers. They rely on their mirrors to monitor the traffic around them, they're lazy and don't turn heads to check their lanes.

You'd think with a big mirror will increase safety, however from my observation cars equipped with one only adds laziness ie. not turning the head to check lanes

Cheap *** modification, belongs in the trash with the Hello Kitty shift ****

i thought we had found some east coast or ..chit...was it UKDM kidd0?

anyway..i thought someone had me by an inch or something.

anywh0...the tall 455 honkay...er...crap...third person chit bugs...*i* admit to using one of them "ricey" mirr0rs. heh. flame away. anywh0, i think it's jast what j00 get used to...i got used to it all eventually...although there was a lil' restriction of the windshield due to them mirr0rs.

*shrugs*

i definitely had to recline that seat some though...jast wished i had an automagic ITR instead of a manny tranny so i could lightly hang my wrist over the auto shift0r. (:

-k-b0t, who was considering an automagic for a lil' there,...but thought otherwise...

[EDIT: perhaps i'm not the former tallest owner, but rather the tallest former...]

Yea had that problem and at 4 way stops somtimes I would not see cars and almost hit them (etc) so rather than drive like a pimp (laying clear in the back seat) I baught some Sparco torinos and all was well it dropped me like 3 or 4 inches and had no problems after that.
