i have and ls block from a 92 integra and am building an ls vtec. my block is almost finished but i still need a vtec oil pump. my question is which pump will work with a 92 block. all the pumps ive found will only work as far back as 96. should i start looking into jdm first gen b16 oil pumps?

 

Use a gsr or itr(integra type r) oil pump for ls/vtec builds. works fine. I have a gsr one on a b18a block and from what ive heard gsr and itr oil pumps are the same except itr slightly more oil flow from what i know. also if you purchase an obd2 oil pump you have to change the lower timing case cover.

 

let me rephrase myself because I actually argued with a mechanic on the itr/gsr oil pump issue. and he said it flows more but i found this link and they are saying it puts out the same amount of oil. itr and gsr pumps share the same part #. i dont see how the itr piece will flow any more.
