what are the differences in the harnesses that go from the door to the interior for power windows, mirrors and locks? will a 99 door plug up to a 96-98 door harness? i'm asking because i have 99 power doors on my 96 ek hatch right now and i would rather get 96-98 door harnesses if they will plug up to the door so i can use a 96-98 floor harness.

 

i dont know the answer , but if you download the manual for the 2 different years , and compare the harnesses you can find out for yourself.

ya i'll probably just get both harnesses and modify the 99 ones to work. i have the windows connected to the battery for now, but i want a clean oem look to the interior.

 

i actually just did this on my friends 97 EX coupe, he bought the car as a shell and his 99 si was stolen and recovered totaled so we took the 2 and made one Si "clone" well come to find out everything is the same on the windows BUT the door locks will NOT work they have different pinouts so we straight wired into his new Viper alarm with keyless so basically it uses the factory solenoid but an aftermarket signal, hope that helps you
