Default Cummins Deisel Turbo on S2k

I have an 01 S2k. I have the oppertunity to get a good deal on an HX35 Hoslet Turbo out of a 99 Dodge Cummin's. I have experience doing the Aftermarket Turbo thing...

But my question is reguarding flow characteristics. Will this turbo be overkill? I am hoping to run 8-10 PSI max on stock internals.

Let me know if this turbo is a total misfit.

there is a 60 page thread on Holset turbos....

The HX35 will work. On an S2000 no prob, many are using them on B's D's and H's. Just a matter of spool time. BTW: 15psi is the new 10.

you can you it but its a hi pressure turbo the ext. watsegates are set between 22-25 psi
get a thicker head gasket and run 10 to 15 psi and you will love that turbo.

if you only plan on stayin that low of a psi id not recomend this turbo....im runnin a hx35 w/ a12cm housing on my 89mm stroke x 81.5mm bore motor...and it spools like no other...running a rmahorn mani....under 10psi this thing is rather weaksauce...over 10psi>15psi the thing really wakes up....keys to making this turbo work extremly well....a split scroll mani or at a bare minimum a decent eq length mani...and a go free flowing exh...i notice about 8-900 rpm differences in spool between a 3" open dp and a tiny 2.25" stock exh...

come to the holset thread for more info
