Stale Gas, how long will it take to lower octane points?
Sup guys,
I will be installing my motor this winter sometime and was wondering if it would be ok to use gas (94) that has been in the tank for almost a year? Could i add some octane booster? Or just drain it? The problem is there is 1/4 tank of gas and id hate to drain it all out, would be a pain......... TIA

Just go filled up with more 94 octane and drive it easy until it empty, it not going to kill anything if you dont ragged on it all day

Well the problem is im hoping to have it on the dyno and will more than likely be tuned before i use that much gas. It is going to be a turbo car when i finish with it and get it running........
Im more than likely going to drain it, but if it wasnt going to make a difference i would leave it in.......... any more input is welcome, thanx

Im in the same boat, I decided to just drain it and put it in a lawnmower or something. There is no point in risking a motor for a few mins of work and like 25 bucks.
