CABLE TRANNY!!!!
ok heres the deal....
i have a b16a in my 93 integra and i got a Y1 cable tranny with it...
so i got the thing and i was assuming that the cable is brand new...
the swap was done at a local shop...
so now i smell my clutch burning
and its running a excedy stage one clutch
my clutch pedal has a little delay before disengaging
so i hit the freeplay then it engages
then when the shift is over
it does not disengage wen i let off
but yet it sticks to the floor and stay engage for a couple of seconds
could it be the cable???

you can adjust the cable at the tranny mounting point.. sounds to me like it may be a lil on the tight side.. allowing the clutch to not fully disengage... either that or your cable is stretched, its hit or miss with da clutch cables, some people snap em all the time and some last for a good amount of time... ( i dont get it either)

you set a clutch by freeplay. should be a half inch at the very top of the peddle that does nothing when you push that distance. that and reach down with your hand on the clutch arm itself , shyould be able to wiggle it a little. peddle should grab approx halfway up. and be fully engaged at 3/4.
