wft up with my car n ecu
sup fellas and ladies, im puzzled with my car situation. i have a jdm b16a in a eg hatch, i've took my car on the 1-95 for a short run 2day n did 110 b4 the full cut of in third gear. my mechanic says i have a b16a tranny but i think he's bs me. i searched in archieve and checked the speed and mine is well over what a normal jdm b16a does. Also my ecu is a p30 virgin manuel but i redline at 7000 grand, someone help a brother out. i've switched tachs with my homie and it reads the same shi. do i have a ls tranny???

well redline should be 8200 regardless if you have an ls tranny. you might have a bad ecu that was previously chipped, and effed up the redline and may have a speed limiter.

agreed , you sure thats a P30? seems strange to me a stock p30 would fuelcutoff at 7000 rpm. even an LS ecu will go higher before fuelcutoff. check the label on the ecu.

your fuel cut off should be 8400 i beleve. redline is 8. look at the markings or numbers on your tranny , call the dealer with that number , ask them what it is. make sure its not stolen first , lol. only thing i can think of is someone had the ecu chipped and running somin else with it. i cant fathom why that P30 would be cutting fuel at 7000 rpm with no CEL.
