Default dowel pin in center cam cap (vtec head)?

i spun a rod bearing this morning and i dont have the dowel pin that goes in the middle of a black o ring on the center cam cap. i was wondering if that would affect my oil pressure.

was the o ring seal in there?

i think you need both of those to have vtec work properly

the o ring seal is there but the dowel pin isn't. i was also hooked up my vtec to a switch and it wasnt hitting vtec right, the car would bog and wouldnt pull like it should. the next morning i spun a rod bearing

Yes it will lower your oil pressure- not sure by how much though. I would imagine most of the damage will be in the head. Check the cam caps and head for wear

well there is very minimal wear on the cams but most of the damage is on the crank. my pistons seized up, they dont move freely on the rod.
