D series crank pully question
ok so first off...my buddy and myself managed to get the crank pulley bolt loose off my z6 while it was out of the car, with no tranny on it, with no special tools... i coudlnt believe it
anyhow
when we went to pull the pulley off it seperated into pieces.... it seems like theres 2 metal pieces with a rubber isolator inbetween the "rings" of metal pulley.. and it seems like it was pressed together.. the issue with this is unless i can press the pulley back together EXACTLY like it came from the factory... i wont be able to accurately time the car
the only other motor ive had the pulley off was a dohc ZC and it definately didnt seperate
is this normal or am i gonna be buying a new crank pulley
also... are all the D series pulleys interchangable? i have one off a d15b7.. will this work ok on the z6? ive actually heard talk of ig being lighter?? and usable?
thanks in advance!

Did you heat the pulley at all? Last time me and my bro did that they came apart. definitely do not reuse the pulley. All sohc's should be the same and if they arent the only issue you might have is with the accessory belts. then u would have to match them to the pulley..
Go to a honda parts dealer online and check part numbers. EX vs DX

For the DX Hatch: 13811-P00-T00
For the EX Coupe: 13810-P26-003
For LX Sedan: 13811-P00-U00
It's like 75 for a DX, 107 for an LX, and 114 for an EX according to slhondaparts.com
Three different part #'s, three different prices.
So they're definitely NOT the same...
As for if they're interchangeable or not I'd say they are but I don't know worth of **** :-\.
