Default Need help from anyone that has the Owner's Manual handy.

I believe that the ITR Owner's Manual had a blurb in inside about not using the spare wheel on the front wheel. Could anyone type out the exact wordage used?

Thanks!

Wordage I'm not sure of, I have it at home but can get you the exerpt (sp) but I do know it's not a good idea to put the spare up front as it can damage the LSD.

usually for any fwd car you want the spare to be put on the rear and the two good wheels in the front...

yeah, it's the excerpt that I need, I am aware of the actual requirement and it's cause, but I need the wordage itself.

Thanks!

Do not drive with the compact spare tire mounted on the front wheels for a long period; it will damage the Limited Slip Differential.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Thanks for making sure that my manual wasn't misprinted.

I'm actually surprised though that Honda didn't include some sort of mileage figure, rather than stating "for a long period". That's obviously rather vague, though I suppose the best solution would be to swap the tire to the rear regardless of how long or far you're intending to drive.

Well it does go on to say something about the tread on that tire not lasting very long, but I'd imagine you still want the spare in the rear for any period of time.
