Rear suspension w/ straight axle Help
I bought this car locally from someone who was moving and desperate to get rid of it. I didnt' like the whole "no floor" thing it has going on right now but the price was too good to pass up on a rustless bodied EG. Anyways, the guy had started work on back halfing the car along with a solid straight axle set up. Im worried about this axle moving side to side when driving. Never have really seen anything like this so I thought I would post some pics on here before taking it to a fab shop to see what they ahve to say about it. Any ideas or pictures of other peoples rear axle setups on Hondas would be great. Here are some pics:
View of cage from Hatch, you can see where the axle can pivot up and down.

Here are some shots of the strut mounts, like I said, not sure of the safety of this and looking for ideas from you guys before I take it somewhere.

Yeah the strut mounts need to be beefed up for sure. Theres no way I would drive this the way it is.
I was thinking of a panhard bar but I wasn;t sure if that would be enough.

The main hoop looks way over 190* in the first pic.
And yeah, a panhard should keep side-side play to a minimum and the struts should have brackets welded to the straight axle and then bolt the struts to the brackets, not through the straight axle.

I went to kenskustomchassis.com and took a look of their setups they sell and I have a pretty good idea of what to do.
I'll check the main hoop david, thank god that piece is tacked in and can be changed.
