Clunk noise won't go away
Everytime I slow down to a stop, I hear a slight single clunk noise somewhere in front drivers side. So I looked underneath and the CV axle boot ripped and grease was all over the place.
So then, I had it replaced at "Suspension plus" lifetime warranty with an OEM one. Drove it around and the noise is STILL there!
Note: three months ago I replaced the following: Front upper control arms, both tie rod ends, all four shocks and struts(Koni yellows w/ neuspeed race 2 inch drop).
thanks for your input

Ball joint?? possibly the calipers are not on right and are clunking when you stop?? I'd personally go with ball joint. How many miles and what kind of driving?

The only reason I suggested it was because I had the same issue with my car. A unexplainable "thunk" when i would come to a complete stop.
I actually tried a series of things from replacing the ball joint to pulling the whole suspension out
It was only when a neighbor stopped by and pointed out that my bushing was worn and "letting out" when the weight was biased to the front. i changed the bushing and the d bracket and the noise has been gone since.
It might not be likely that he has the same issue, but its a hell of alot cheaper to check out then replacing good parts with no fix.

Its my everyday commuter car. 190,000 miles on it.
So far you guys told me to look for:
Ball joints
sway bar linkages
anything else?

Do you have pic of that?
Do you have pic of that?
do you hear it when you take off too??
or do you hear it when you're in first gear going slow (to where your car is almost 'lurching' back and forth)?
i hear a pretty audible thunk/knock in my car when i take off or going slow in first gear..
i recently took my car to the auto shop for electrical problems and when i got her back, the mechanic said, "you probably notice a knocking sound.. i checked it out and your motor mount is done for!"
he didn't say exactly which motor mount but i'm guessing its my rear mount's bushing that is worn out.. i haven't had time to really look into it though.
perhaps you may be experiencing the same thing??
hope this helps!

Damn you really saved me my misery! I have the same noise that the OP is talking about, and I took my caliper off today and put it back on. VOILA!
Noise is gone! Thanks! I would've never thought the caliper.

sorry for the late reply..
I took the caliper off and put new retaining clips (#11 and #16) so that they're snug. Those sometimes get loose or are broken, which move around alot.
Then I just made sure #17 was snug when i put it back on.

I FOUND THE PROBLEM! I busted out the Haynes manual and decided to make sure all suspension components were torqued according to spec. Nothing was loose expect the DRIVERS SIDE RADIUS ROD NUT. Its the bumper end not the from the lower control arm. Oddly the nut was almost off the threads! Then I torqued it down.
So I drove it around accel and hit the brakes continuesly and the CLUNK is gone!!

The radius rod is attached to the lower control arm to the front chassy. The nut is in the front. You'll have to remove the mud guard to see it and access the nut. Piece of cake.

I had a similar problem except mine would clunk every time the vehicle started moving or stopped moving. The genius that had the car before me had cut the brake pad holder spring (number 16 in your diagram) on the drivers side, but not the passenger side.
A friend of mine had some, gave them to me, I installed them and no more noise.
*edit* Nevermind. I just saw your update.
