dude, whenever you get a CEL get a vag-com to scan your car for codes. also 700 bucks to replace the 02 sensor is expensive. have you ever changed your coil packs? coil packs are a common problem with the older 1.8T

well the fact that his name is nathan 1.8T shows that he obviously has a biased opinion of vws, which are NOT good cars as far as im concerned.
If i were you, id put that jetta on ebay. it seems to be the only place where they fetch a good price and thats where our beetle is now. if you put it on there im SURE youll get your asking price.
g/l my friend.

the bad MAF is a very common prob with the VWs. we went through that with the beetle as well. it causes about 4 diff codes, all related to 'incorrect air flow'
you can buy that part on ebay for 100 bucks or less and replace it yourself.
id do it before selling the car so you dont have to deal with someone bitching about it.

Yea it was a friend of mine's car (girl) and she took it to a dealership to have it taken care of on a diagnostic. 1,000 dollars later her CEL was gone but holy ****!! If I ever had to pay 1,000 dollars to get a CEL to go away I'd sell it immediately after that fearing that it may come around again!

This isnt helping serge sell his car......
lol.
sorry homie
they are ok cars if you know how to work on them and etc. We didnt have any major issues with our beetle.. just misc little annoyances.. MAF sensor, window regulator, sunroof went off track.. etc. the motor in the car is very strong and it runs great.. so i guess i cant complain too much..
lol.

Yes sorry man. Once she got all that cleared up it was funny to see her driving her automatic turbo jetta cause she'd throw it in neutral just to spool up at me. It was cute to see a girl being a ricer for a minute.

Here is the thing, you need to give us the code that keeps blinking.
on a v dub of all things, some codes even if it is just one can make it all not even worth it
