Default Car rough Idle?wuts going on

hey yall, worst dreams coming true!! my 06 type s is starting to give me trouble and i got it brand new. i dont abuse my car or anything, no mods either. but i have taken it in a few times to the dealership and had the tranny replaced, cuz it was making some weird noises, shifting rough, and it jus has not sounded right since i took it in for all those problems. It idles rough, and it sounds like there is a bit of a tap in the engine, im almost due for oil, but it couldnt b that, never did b4. i feel this way of my car after comparing it to my friends 05 and 06. wut can i do to try to get it fixed? dealership is pretty much my only option cuz i dont got extra money to be fixing it without warranty service. anybody with similar problems? maybe we can discuss on the phone or something, by sending a message or pm. i would really appreciate any help any of u can provide. thanx a lot.

you are saying that this rough idle happened after you got the car back frmo the dealer when they did your transmission? if so, the mechanic working on your car probably forgot to plug in a wire of some sort.

well if you're check engine light isnt on then he might have forgotten a vaccum somewhere. just bring it to the dealer. they have to fix it. since it hapepned after you picked it up from them and its under warranty. dont let them give you any bullshit either.

u know wut pisses me off the most too, is that when u take ur car in they will tell u it sounds fine, and wut really sucks is that its u that drives the car everyday and u know exactly wut it should sound like being that u have had ur car since it was brand new. know wut i mean? i jus want my car fixed so badly cuz i have an intake i just got in and i have not put it in yet cuz of not wanting to deal with them ******** telling me the warranty is void now cuz of the intake. so lets c wut happens this friday wheni take it in.

well my dealership here in new orleans is an awesome dealership. they will fix anything. i had an intake and a catback and it didnt void any of my warranty. the only way a modification to the car can void the warranty is if they know that that specific part caused the problem. For example, if you have an oxygen sensor problem and they blame it on your catback exhaust system and void your warranty. you can appeal that because the oxygen sensor is way before the catback, to be more specific, its on teh exhaust manfiold. so the catback exhaust system will have nothing to do with it.

If it's under warranty, get the dealership to fix it...

I had an idle problem twice...
1. clogged CAI from driving in my muddy/new developped neighborhood
- check your air intake box

2. clogged IAC valve (Idle Air Control Valve)
