Default Ok guys another one for the record books! transmission problem

1994 honda accord DX : my wifes tranny has been farting around between gears lately and now the shift interlock wont release and when you drive it its not really slipping... it just lacks power and wont downshift to the untrained butt it feels like a slipping though.... it idles pretty bad too... the d4 light wont come on, and you pretty much have to shift it manually because it starts out is second gear. TCU? jeez i hate this car... i wish i had all data here at home.... but oh well just fishing for asnwers.

The shift interlock is controlled thru the key, brake lite switch and a solenoid under the console, lots of cola spilled into the console gums up the solenoid.
Replace the D4 bulb in the instrument panel, then you can jumper the Blue 2 pin connector and see if there is a code stored that will help to diagnose the trans problem. Does the speedo work? Do you have brake lites?
The car is falling apart with multiple problems, you'll need to fix them one at a time.
