EK wont start maybe key immobilizer????
I have an EK hatch and I have everything hooked up right and when i bought the car from another guy he said the fuel pump wouldn't turn on when it was ignition was turned on. He is using an obdIIb harness and obdII P2E computer. All fuses and are in good condition. He did leave off the distributor which i bought one. Could it be i dont have the master key for it?? wondering if anyone knows how i can bypass this problem? check out the car at http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...&rd=1

have you checked ur timing since u put the new dizzy on? Does the car crank over?
PS. EK9 is the Civic Type R, you can call your car an EK, but not an EK9 because u'll get ripped to pieces. I personally don't care, but put a flame suit on, sir.

civics did not have the immobilizer functionality until 2001 after the "EK" body style was discontinued. that is not your problem.
