wut kind of r's can i get out of buddy club valvetrain?
i was thinking of going with buddy club valvetrain matched with there spec 3+ cams and i was just wondering what rpm's can i get out of em'. the motor is a poor mans type r and will be well built worried about the block or anythin else.
no more then 8500rpm, I helped my friend build an B16 head with buddyclub P1 springs and retainers and crower stage 2 cams, started to float at about 8700rpm, so take a bit off to be safe.
If you are using BC springs and retainers along with BC cams I do not see a problem revving to 9+ providing those cams make power past a given RPM. I think you might be limited to 9k on those cams, making power past that isnt likely. I would recommend using the same manufacturers springs and retainers as the cams you want to use, unless you can get all the critical info on the valve spring rates to see if it allows for the lift of the cam you want to use. In your case BC + BC should = golden.
You can see that a Type-R valve train can rev to 9200 RPMs with that cam lift and stiffer spring, so it's all relative.

I don't know why you would really want to rev the motor very high for since you are probably using oem Rods which tend to give if you consistently rev it out higher than 9k
The cams will peak out around 7900-8200 RPM's

I went to King motorsports today and i was told that the spec 3 cams matched with my other parts will have the power drop off around 8500 rpms. thats not as much as I expected but I will have 200 whp so Im not to disapointed.
