steering wheel shaking at 80+

This is like the textbook BAD way to start with a problem like this.
First look at your alignment, find out if it's off.
Also, while they do the alignment, tell them to check to see if any of the rims are bent.
If your tires are all aligned and none of your rims are bent, get a 4 wheel alignment.
If it's still shaking, then look into other crap, don't look into axles 'n **** just yet unless u see fluid pouring out or a cracked boot or something really ******* obvious (just take a glance under there w/ a flashlight).

Ummm....that was the first thing I mentioned, so don't speed off classifying all the answers here.

For some people it's necessary. Like I make maybe 1 or 2 trips / month to and from Rochester to the Hudson Valley, 270 each way where 230 of it's highway (all interstate) and 70 of it's the thruway (I-90). On most interstates you can do about 75-80 to keep up with the traffic flow but I can tell you for certain if you try pulling that crap on a Sunday night going west on I-90 people will be PISSED as the slow traffic flow becomes 80 with a normal of 95 - 105. It's usually good that your car could stay together for speeds up to 90 if you do any highway driving. Then again, does depend on the highway by far.

its any speed above 80. i havent really checked really high speeds, but it'll probably be shaking at 100+ too.
i didn't tell you guys this, i'm sorry..but alignment wouldn't be an issue, i just got an alignment. and someone mentioned an axle. i just got new axles.
im guessing its a bent rim or unbalanced wheel. i'm gonna go check those 2 things out sometime this week. and ill feedback later.
