Default Ingalls Engineering needs your input! 97+ Prelude Control Arms

Hey guys just got off the phone with Ingalls engineering. They are looking into developing upper control arms similar to the ones from Skunk2 instead of the dreaded adj. ball joint. This will effectively change the camber from -4 to +4 degrees in the front.

Ingalls will be looking at this post so please show them you are interested in a product that is long overdue! These will look similar to the arms currently available only for the 89+ Civics and Integras.

I would be very interested. We definitely need this...I don't feel like putting holes in my fenderwell to clear the balljoint type camber kits.

i'd buy them as long as the price is reflective of other similar adjustable upper control arms.

Let them know that these could work on 4g preludes with very little modification to the design....

My name is Grant and I work for Ingalls Eng. I would like to express our goals in this project. We are attempting to see if this application is something that needs to be addressed. Please email me at grant@ingallseng.com if you have any input or questions for this project.

sorry to be semi- off topic. But you should talk them into rear lowr control arms for a 4th gen. No one makes em, so being the only ones on the market they sure would sell.

why? do you want to be part of the civic crowd cause they have aftermarket lower rear control arms?

if you want it for weight saving, good luck with that since it doens't help much (as much as you want it to)

do you need it to install some spherical bearings? that would be the only reason why you would need it. and it would be easier just to make spherical bearings in our normal lower control arm.

You're gonna get a ton of 4th gen requests. (including me) I'm all for control arms for any prelude, and I'd be willing to be an early adopter, but I don't need 5th gen specific parts.

correct...bling boys abound, the only reason that a civic should have aftermarket lca's is to run a sway bar without having to find the rare civic ones or change your setup to use stock integra lca's

to ingalls making some 4th & 5th gen kits

I would definitely be interested in some control arms for a 4th gen, I'm running the kit available for our cars now, and its a pain because you have trim the inner fender pretty good if you have anything over like a 1.5" drop, and I also would love to see some aftermarket control arms made, I'm actually considering making some myself I want them so bad, its not about weight savings and its not about parts, but if you got the right length you wouldnt have to have a camber kit and it would not push your wheel out further than it is normally so you would have less problems with your tires hitting fenders and such, not to mention it would probably be much stronger. But for now i'll take whats available and if UCAs are available for the 4th gens, im interested

bling crowd? weight saving? No. I do like camber adjustability and reliability. Seeing how one of mine bent, I'd rather upgrade than replace

well then you should know the aluminum ones are weaker than the steel ones and would be considerably bigger.

and if you bent a lower control arm........you are doing something wrong. race preludes can't even bend them
